The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch is one of the world’s most iconic timepieces. Having been a part of all six moon landings, the legendary chronograph is an impressive representation of the Omega’s pioneering spirit.
Inspired by the 4th generation Speedmaster, this 42 mm Moonwatch with case and bracelet in 18K Moonshine™ Gold, has a sun-brushed green “step” dial and “Moonwatch” style hands. The green ceramic bezel ring, with OMEGA Ceragold™ tachymeter scale, features the famous dot over 90.
The caseback in polished 18K Moonshine™ Gold has double bevels and the words FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON engraved in black. The Moonwatch is powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 with special luxury finish.
The watch offered for sale presents in Mint and Like-New condition and comes complete with factory presentation boxes and papers dated 2024. This timepiece retails at over $70k AUD at the flagship boutiques with waitlists and no discounts, yet we have the opportunity to offer this incredible masterpiece at a much-discounted price — this is also when this timepiece is also 2024, and not an older stock from previous years.
Powered by the caliber 3861 introduced in 2019, that is based on the Lemania caliber 1861, the movement of the watch boasts a number of technical upgrades. As the co-axial escapement is made of anti-magnetic alloys, the caliber 3861 is equipped with high magnetism resistance, and is resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. With a power reserve of 50 hours, the manual caliber 3861 is further certified by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, making it a Master Chronometer.
