MB&F M.A.D.1 – Time to Love, the first limited edition from MB&F’s affordable sub-brand, created in collaboration with French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, also known as JC/DC. A variant of the standard model endowed with Mr de Castelbajac’s touch – including numerals in his handwriting – the M.A.D.1 “Time to Love” is a 999-piece edition that was completely sold out via an online raffle.
The watch showcases a fully visible triple-blade, titanium and tungsten rotor which winds one of the rare automatic movements with unidirectional winding, flipped upside-down – a nod to MB&F’s Horological Machines HM3 and HM8. Giving the watch the Castelbajac touch, the triple-blade rotor is now picked out in blue, yellow and red lacquer, and the blades are shaped like angel wings. One of the wings is slightly heavier than the others to optimise spinning on the newly engineered rotor.
Time on this watch is displayed laterally (on the case side/rim), thanks to revolving hour and minute cylinders, engraved and boosted with Super-LumiNova.
The watch is offered in Brand New condition with some factory stickers on the case and clasp still on and is offered as full set with boxes and papers dated 2024.
