COMMON QUERIES
Every watch we sell comes with a guarantee of authenticity. We have a rigorous process of authentication which goes past just the authentication and extends to performance testing of the watch. Following as below are some of the checks we complete on our watches before we sell:
- The watches are sourced from our trusted partner network, most of which are reputed businesses of the industry.
- We inspect the finer details of the watch, which includes an in-depth inspection of the dial, the case & bracelet, the movement and finer components.
- The watch is tested and verified using sophisticated and modern Swiss machines we have available in-house. This includes:
- Watch movement health check which includes its movement timekeeping/accuracy, amplitude a
- Upon authentication and examination, a pressure testing is completed to evaluate its water resistance
The number of checks completed on each watch depends on several factors including but not limited to, the history of the timepiece, the source of the watch, the finding from any of the checks stated above requiring a more intrusive or less intrusive inspection etc.
You are encouraged to authenticate any watch that you purchase from us. Our Returns Policy is that you can return any watch you purchased from us within 01 day if you find and report any issues or if the watch is not as we described it to be, to receive a full refund. Please refer to the Returns Policy at the bottom of this page to read the full details.

The overnight express is the name of the service used. It doesn’t guarantee that you will receive the watch the next day. However, the service does aim to deliver overnight and in most instances, we have delivered watches the next day. The delays on the other hand, are also possible and are not something that we haven’t seen before. We request ordering 3-4 business days in advance to allow for shipping delays, payment delays etc.
We accept bank transfer, and Visa, Master and American Express Credit/Debit Cards. For any watch purchases, please contact us to discuss the watch details, shipping and payment details.

We are an online store, but shall you wish to inspect a piece, we can arrange to send you video clips of the piece you’re interested in. We can also arrange for a face-to-face transaction in Perth, WA, provided that you are purchasing the timepiece. We do not have a physical store where we can facilitate to show full collection or viewing to try on the watches. Also, if you are interested in viewing a timepiece that is listed as brand new and unworn, then although we may facilitate an in-person purchase and prior viewing, we will not allow handling of the watch or try-ons – this is to preserve the condition of the watch as true new for its new owner.
Yes, we are a GST registered business for Australian customers, and all the prices include GST, unless otherwise specified in the listing. Please note that some watches we have available are listed for overseas clientele, which do not have the Australian GST component added into the listed prices. This is categorically mentioned on the listing as it applies and added to the price when sold to customers residing in Australia.
Yes we have sold and delivered countless watches overseas and globally. If you are located in the USA, then we can also offer you a price estimate for the watch delivered to you with all taxes and duties paid by us i.e. our price will include import taxes into the US and insured shipping – and you will pay nothing more to receive the watch.
We are not affiliated with any watch brand or watchmaker, and as such we are not Authorised Dealers for any watches that we sell. We specialize in buying and selling pre-owned and preloved watches, although most of the watches we deal in are in unworn and new condition.
We are an independent business, founded, run and managed by a watch collector and enthusiast Hafiz J Mehmood.
Consignment is a straightforward and transparent process. You leave the watch with us and advise us the price you want for it. We review the pricing to be aligned with the market, discuss and agree if we can achieve that price to you. In the event that you’re asking too high, we negotiate on what is realistically achievable.
Once agreed we collect the watch from you and you will receive our Consignment Note for your records while we sell your watch, which will capture your details, watch details and the price that we will pay upon the sale of the piece. We add our commission on top of your price and start advertising. We take care of listing in totality from safe handling and storage, to insured shipping and secure transaction and payout to you upon the completion of the sale. You remain completely anonymous during the process, and we become the seller.
If there are any offers closer to your asking price that we discussed, we reach out to you to discuss if you’re willing to accept it to make the sale or keep waiting to achieve the target price.
Once sold and delivered to the buyer, we payout to you.
The consignment often works out better for you too as consignors get from 90 to up to 93% of the sale/market price paid back, and there’s no risk as we take care of all the selling process while having the watch fully protected through our business cover.
Calibre24 is all about providing a safe and secure online platform to watch enthusiasts and collectors to transact and buy, sell and trade their watches. With consigning with us, you remain completely anonymous, and we become the sellers while maintaining your privacy. You may notice that every photo on our website has had its serials blacked out – we do this to protect our customers.
We then further complete our checks before we sell the watches and our rigorous checks include but aren’t limited to authentication, performance testing and watch timekeeping test, water proofness/pressure test, visual examination. This translates into a greater confidence amongst the buyers as they know that when they are purchasing from us, they are in safe hands.
At Calibre24, we have access and reach to our customers who consist of watch enthusiasts, collectors and investors, and thence increasing the likelihood for a quicker and a safer sale.
Yes, we can either purchase your watch or consign it for you and sell on your behalf depending on what suits your requirements and situation. Some of the pieces listed on our website are consignment pieces. We specialise in consignment pieces and sell them relatively quickly and at competitive prices due to our exposure to the watch market. For a fuss-free sale of your piece through us, please fill in the consignment form or simply send us a message to receive the estimated prices and safest experience for your valuable timepiece.
Consignment and an outright sale both are two different options for you to sell your watch. They both have their pros and cons.
As explained in the consignment process above, you will achieve a much higher take home as we will only take a small percentage of the sell price as our service fee, but it comes with a downside that you will have to wait for the sale to happen before you receive the payment into your account. This wait can be anything between one week to many weeks or months – we obviously don’t know when there is a buyer in the market, but we have mostly resulted in a relatively quick and hassle-free sale for our consignors/customers.
With outright selling, you get the funds into your bank on the go when we collect the watch and without any wait for you. But the downside with outright selling is that you will receive a smaller take home for the watch i.e. we will pay 20% or more less than what we expect to sell the watch for, as opposed to consignment where we only keep 10% or less from the actual sell price.
So which option works for you depends on your circumstances and if you can wait to receive a higher take home (consignment), or if you’re after a quick sale (outright sell) with lesser net price to you.
We limit the watches we consign to models and brands with value/sale price of more than $10,000 AUD. This is only because that’s the niche we specialize in and have the largest following for. Any other price range (lower than $10,000) is not our primary market, and we try to not commit those pieces. We can however make an exception for you if you still need our help and we often do so for our existing customers. Please reach out to us prior to submitting the consignment form if you still seek our help with selling under $10K watch(es) with us.
As we are an online watch store, we look at every element of the sale including safe and secure shipping. Accordingly, you don’t have to worry about insuring or finding a service provider who will ship a high value watch.
Once you’re ready to consign with us and have signed our Consignment Note, or if you’re purchasing from us, we will arrange for safe and fully insured collection from yourself, regardless of where in Australia or overseas are you located. If you’re consigning, you just pack the watch and stick the label that we will provide on your sealed box. And rest, we will do everything for you.
In consigning your watch(es) with us, you remain completely anonymous to the buyers or market during the sale. We become the sellers and act as your agent to sell your watch. Your name and details stay with us and aren’t shared outside to any buyer (unless they are stated on watch warranty paperwork) and they remain completely confidential throughout the process.
